The Creed Food Festival

Last week we were delighted to host our first event at The Barn this year, The Creed Food Festival! It was an absolutely amazing, fun filled, sunny day where we had over 50 suppliers present a showcasing variety of their products to customers, a great way to see the new product launches for the summer months ahead and to have  face-to-face interaction with suppliers.

Along with our fantastic suppliers, we also had our own Creed stands where we presenting our current solutions in line with current market trends and sector challenges. We also showcased our food-to-go concept for the education sector, as well as a coffee shop stand which displayed a vast range of sweet treats incorporating current customer trends and flavours.

Throughout the day our industry specialists hosted a variety of seminars focused around current market updates and Creed news. Our Sustainability Director, Phil Creed and Marketing Manager, Laura Thatcher, started off the day by hosting a seminar on Our Sustainability Strategy: Net Zero by 2035, to give an insight into the steps that we are taking to become a more sustainable company.

Followed by this, Andy Williams, our Care sector specialist held a seminar focusing on the importance of providing nutritious meals to those in care, whilst also presenting our new 3-week menu plan.

In the afternoon, Emma Jukes, our Education specialist focussed on the importance of encouraging the younger generation to eat healthily, using recipes which have been created by our Chefs.

During the day, our Development Chef team were hosting live outdoor cooking demonstrations focusing on summer cooking trends, with simple salads, utilising Creed Fresh Produce, which are convenient and flavourful – ideal for outdoor eating.

Our Butchery specialist Nic Veale and Head of Butchery Gary Hannis were on hand to talk customers through our Creed Family Butchers range and give a better understanding of the expertise that our butchery department has.

With over 200 customers in attendance, we were pleased to see everyone having a fun time and what a way to start the summer!
