As consumers are slowly adapting to the new normal, we are seeing shifts within their behaviours, particularly food preferences. We have looked at a number of different insight and data sources to compile our list of 2022/2023 trends. The following food and drink trends have been identified as new and rising trends that will be seen in the eating out of home market over the next couple of years.
Obesity rates in reception and year 6-aged school children increased by around 4.5 percentage points between 2019-20 and 2020-21 according to NHS records (2021). Child obesity is a growing issue within the UK, it is extremely important that children have a healthy childhood and are educated on the importance of eating healthy.
