Job Title: Nightshift Assistant Manager

Salary: £30,000 Per Annum

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time

Contracted hours: 40 hours per week (5 days out of 7)

Working Days: Sunday to Thursday

Shift Pattern: 8 hour shifts, Nights

Role Details:

This role will be responsible for ensuring all picking and consolidation operations scheduled during the shift are completed to the time deadlines set. You will ensure that those operations are carried out in an accurate, controlled and detailed manner to facilitate a quality service to our customers. This is measured by delivery routes leaving on time with the correct products at the correct temperatures.

You will be accountable for the strict adherence to all processes and procedures relating to Food Safety as outlined in the company Food Safety Standards Manual.

Some responsibilities of the role include: 

  • Assist Night Shift Manager to recruit, train and develop new and existing staff including new joiners and succession planning.
  • Manage the night shift in a positive, service focused and professional manner. Including overseeing the loading of delivery vehicles to ensure that routes are loaded in the correct sequence.
  • Focus on Employee Engagement; supporting existing and identifying new initiatives that will help improve our departments “Best companies” results.
  • Work within department operational target for credit notes.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for your shift and clear handover.
  • All orders are picked in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Take responsibility for company protocols and procedures relating to the handling of temperature sensitive products being followed and ensure that all orders are picked in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all invoicing and route paperwork is completed on time, that routes depart on time and that all product consolidations are completed on time, in accordance with relevant schedules.
  • Make sure that sub supply items are picked and dispatched on time and that the required standards of housekeeping are maintained at all times.

The Ideal Candidate:

We're looking for an experienced Nightshift Assistant Manager with a desire to learn new skills that wants to make a difference to join Creed and support our busy operation in the High Wycombe depot.

It is essential that you have the following: 

  • Experience managing teams within a Warehouse Environment
  • Experience of working in the Foodservice sector
  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude, be keen to learn new skills and have a desire to make a difference.
  • The flexibility to work extra hours in line with the business needs.
  • A fork lift licence would be desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
