We recently had the pleasure of hosting the Creed Food Show at our picturesque Barn located near our Staverton depot. The Barn is our unique outdoor venue created to inspire different cooking methods and support our customers with their menu development. The Food Show was a great opportunity for our amazing suppliers to showcase their brands, including niche and innovative product specialists, and for customers to have the opportunity to meet and interact with those suppliers in person.

Executive Development Chef Rob Owen and Development Chef James de Jong were on hand demonstrating a range of outdoor cooking methods and the versatility of what can be achieved with the products Creed offer. The Barn is kitted out with specialist cooking equipment such as: 

  • A Gozney Roccbox stone bed pizza oven,
  • Green egg BBQ Charcoal oven - perfect for low or high temp cooking and smoking,
  • South African style Braai - specially used for open charcoal and wood cooking,
  • Weber BBQ rottisere cooking and
  • An Argentina Asado cross designed for open fire cooking.

Throughout the day Rob and James demonstrated how to make some delicious tacos and nachos using meat that had been cooked on the large Argentina Asado Cross, along with a variety of accompanying side dishes. this also gave the chefs a chance to interact with customers and answer any questions that they may have, providing insight on how to use equipment and give feedback to suit the customer’s needs.

During the cooking demonstrations, our chefs were able to answer questions and offer solutions for our customers to allow them to benefit from their knowledge and skills gained within the food industry.

We also had the Head of Creed Family Butchers Gary Hannis on hand to talk through the variety of meats on offer including specialist cuts such as a Chateaubriand, Tomahawk and Cote de Boeuf. Giving customers a chance to see the capabilities of the Butchery range and understand the provenance of the products and quality of service.

This venue is a haven for bringing new concepts to life through live cooking demonstrations, helping to provide solutions to suit the individual needs of each sector that we work with. Creed hope to continue hosting events like this which creates an environment for customers and suppliers to come together and share their passion for food.
