Creed Food Show at The Hub
This week we hosted our first event of the year, The Creed Food Show at The Hub! The Hub is our new customer venue. Based at our high Wycombe depot, the room has been kitted out with a state-of-the-art kitchen facility that allows us to help inspire our customers with their menu testing and development.
The Food Show was a chance to not only launch the newly anticipated venue, but to invite plenty of our suppliers and customers along to allow interaction in person, and discuss all things centred around the café and coffee shop market. The day was filled with lots of opportunities to try new products and concepts and talks on the latest updates and trends for the out of home market.
Our Development Chefs Rob and James gave live cooking demonstrations to display innovative solutions which can be adapted to suit multiple operators and inspire new menus across three areas; sandwiches, salads, and sweet treats.
Following the latest industry insights, the Chefs developed a hot and cold sandwich concept incorporating a nod to trending Mexican flavours. Rob and James suggested ways that this can be implemented into simple menu offerings, such as replacing mayo with a chipotle sauce. Other popular concepts on display were a vegan cream cheese and pickled slaw bagel, a classic Jamon au beurre, and a TikTok inspired chilli beef and Monterey Jack wrap.
With summer fast approaching, the chefs also focused on large attractive salad platters that are visual and seasonal, yet easy to prepare, such as the spring inspired salad made using frozen green beans, edamame beans and peas which were simply defrosted and mixed with a vinaigrette, cherry tomatoes and feta cheese.
Focusing on sweet flavours they also presented some Miso and peanut butter cookies giving a nod to the umami eastern flavours in puddings. These went down a treat! Along with a custard trifle cheesecake – tapping in nicely to the nostalgia trend.
Our Insights expert, Anna, was on hand to share knowledge and the most recent updates on the café and coffee shop market, giving an overview of consumer behaviours and predicted trends for the year ahead.

We also had our Product Data and Technical Manager available to assist with queries on the upcoming legislation affecting the out-of-home market, including the HSFF legislation, as well as offering solutions and answering any questions regarding our nutritional analysis software – Saffron. The suppliers who attended were specifically chosen with the out of home market in mind, including well-known brands such as Cadburys and Britvic, ranging to more niche suppliers such as Tideford Organics, Love Struck and Get More Vits.
This was a great way to start the year! We loved being able to interact in person and we are so pleased to hear that a lot of ideas were shared and gained. Don’t miss out on our next event – the Creed Food Festival on May 5th! Sign up now to reserve your place.
