- 1kg Feather blade beef 900810
- Knorr Black bean sauce 059081
- 8 x Hirata buns 816910
- 1 x Carrot 600221
- 40g Spanish onions 601081
- 2 x Spring onions 601110
- 1 x Bunch coriander 600500
- 50g Ginger 600910
- 2 x Cloves Garlic 601041
Trim the feather blade of any excess fat and place in a roasting tray, roughly slice the ginger and garlic and add to the tray.
Spoon 2 large table spoons of the Knorr black bean concentrate over the beef and add 400ml of water. Place in a pre heated oven at 140 degrees for 3-4 hours, until the beef is tender and soft to the touch. Remove from the oven to cool down
Put the oven on 100 degrees on the steam function, line a tray with parchment paper and place the buns evenly on the tray, steam in the oven for 8-10 minutes. Alternatively the buns can be heated through in the microwave covered in cling film on full power for 3-4 minutes.
When the buns are ready, cover with cling film so they retain their heat.
When the beef is cooled carefully shred the beef by hand discarding any fats and sinews.
Pre heat a saucepan and add the shredded beef to the pan, crisp the beef for 2-3 minutes while continually stirring. Add 2 heaped table spoons of the Knorr black bean sauce and the same amount of water and set aside.
Finely shred the carrot, spring onion and coriander and add a drop of soy sauce.
Fill the buns with around 80g of beef and top with the carrot mix, serve.
