On Wednesday 13 June 2018, we held our first ‘Trend & Try’ event of 2018 at the Foodworks Cookery School. The event was focused on the care sector and was a success with both customers and staff.
Unilever, Premier Foods and Punjab Kitchen provided innovative and educational solutions with a focus on hydration, nutrition and dysphagia. Guests were treated to a variety of dishes to try, such as Unilever’s new range of Carte D’Or desserts. They also tried their hand at cooking a dysphagia version of a roast chicken dinner. We have some budding cooks in the business!
Representatives from Howbury House, Chapel Spa, Albion Lodge Care Home, Guildhouse, Woodstock Nursing Home, Bredon View Care Home and Wentworth Court attended alongside some Creed new starters. The event received great feedback, even resulting in potential new business from a prospective customer who attended.
David Stewart (Business Development Manager) said: “My customers gave me great feedback and we may have the opportunity to gain a new account in the Coate Water Care Group. The event gave me the opportunity to meet and engage with customers in a new environment, which will prove positively for our future dealings. The overall structure and flow of the day was really beneficial and informative to me, it was apparent the customers enjoyed the day too.”
Clare Buckland (Business Development Manager) said: “Great content and some interesting meal solutions. For me, to get stuck in with meal prep was a fantastic insight into the challenges faced in care home kitchens day in day out… and that was only for one person!”
