We are pleased to be working with Active Gloucestershire, a charity whose vision is that “everyone in Gloucestershire is active every day”.

As part of our ‘Wellbeing’ commitment, we will be working with Active Gloucestershire throughout 2018 to look at how we can support our people to become more active both in and out of the workplace.  We will be engaging and involving our teams in what will be a major initiative for Creed over the next year.

Our work with Active Gloucestershire started in November 2017, with a series of focus groups which a cross section of staff from all departments attended. The focus groups provided Active Gloucestershire with an insight into our workforce, our business and helped develop a plan for the year ahead.

Whilst this is an initiative local to Gloucestershire, we will also be surveying people based at our High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and Ilkeston, Derbyshire depots to gain a company-wide view.

Martin Holmes, Director of People said:

“We are dedicated to creating a great place to work and have achieved a Best Companies ‘one to watch’ status. Our people are committed to our values of commercial, friendly, nurturing and proud. We work hard and are committed to providing a great service but we ensure we have fun and continue to develop our people along the way. Working with Active Gloucestershire is another step towards improving the overall health and wellbeing of our employees”.

Active Gloucestershire unite organisations and people around their ‘active’ vision and enable them to make it a reality. They are part of a national network of county sport and physical activity partnerships (CSPs) operating across England. At their essence they are about driving positive change.
